A (physical) Hex set was marketed under that name by Parker Bros. starting in 1952. Currently, there seem to be no commercial Hex sets available.
Here are some ideas on building a set:
- the page Hex Boards has photos of wooden boards as used in the International Tournament 2005 in Wroclaw, Poland;
- Miguel Garcia has build a nice set using steel nuts and ball-bearings;
- or you can use an erase board and magnets.
