Single stone templates
From HexWiki
A Single stone template is a template which only has one stone.
Here's a standard example.
The stars aren't part of the template -- this template has three hexes in, and one red stone. Red wants to connect that top stone to the bottom row. Even if it is blue's turn, red will be able to do it because when blue plays in one free hexagon, red will respond in the other.
Here's a more interesting example -- the Ziggurat.
When I find the time, and I've found out how to better boards than this, I will write down all the single-stone templates I know about. Until then try Dr King's site at http://www.drking.org.uk/hexagons/hex/templates.html
