Are you sure about the name Miai in Go ? I thougt this was two equivalent moves, which both player would play one after another. Here a move in the fork is not necessarily answered by defending the other place in the fork.

A Wikipedia:Miai move is usually from one player's view. As soon as the other player takes one of the two points, this player takes the other. It is usually said that these two moves are miai for Black. --Roland Illig 02:32, 29 November 2007 (CET)
